reflections in gray.

buoy

i was out driving yesterday and came across this little pond that caught my eye. it's pretty cold outside here in norway these days, so the water had turned to ice some places along the shore.

the light was fading quickly, as the sun had already set, so i had act fast if i were to capture the reflections the way i saw them. luckily, i had my canon 5D MKII (with the 24-105mm f/4L IS USM attached) with me. Although i'd have loved to have had some faster glass given the lighting situation, the reach the lens provided me with was excellent. for those of you interested, all the images were shot at 1/40th, f/4 and ISO1600.

reflections have always been fascinating to me and making these photographs yesterday really made me reconsider doing a project that focuses entirely on how objects are reflected by various elements.

as always i'd love to hear what you guys think, so feel free to leave a comment or simply click the 'like'. i like.
